It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Rosa on February 2, 2018 at the age of 69. Loving wife of Carmine for 50 years. Cherished mother of Lina (Patrick), Joe (Jodi) and Robert (Maiko). Devoted nonna of Lucas, Julia, Christian, Taryn, Mateo and Mika. Dear daughter of Maria and Pietro. Sister of Teresa, Frank and Joe. She has been reunited with her father Pietro and her brother Frank. Her smile, kind and gentle heart will be forever missed. Rosa’s courage, strength and selflessness will carry on through all those who knew her.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Hajra, Dr. Patterson, nurse Maria and the Chemo Team at Markham Stouffville Hospital, as well as Dr. Elser at Princess Margaret Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and Markham Stouffville Hospital.

The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home 211 Langstaff Road East (west of Bayview Ave.) from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place within the funeral home in the Chapel of St. Joseph on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. The final rite of committal and entombment will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (8361 Yonge Street Thornhill).
