Condolences

Condolence From: Janet Hurley
Condolence: I am not sure if this condolence link is still active, but I only this week learned of Ruth's death (or Mrs. McDonald as I always called her). I am so sorry to hear of her passing. Outside of my own immediate family, my earliest memories are of the McDonald family, and Ruth and Patrick in particular, as my brother and I spent many lovely days under her care. From hot lunches after a morning at kindergarten, to chasing down the garbage truck to watch it empty the dumpsters, to playing the bongos or sneaking a peek at the TV soap she'd be watching when we were supposed to be having an afternoon nap, those days were full of fun, and most importantly my mom was able to teach without worrying about our safety or happiness. Having lost mom in 2015, I know how tough this time can be, so I wanted to let you know my thoughts are with you all, as are my memories.
