Condolence: In 1979, Joan led a small group of educators in the very successful sponsorship of a young Cambodian refugee to Ottawa. She will always be remembered for her love and kindness. Rest in peace, Joan.

Condolence: Mrs. O'Toole was my very first teacher in Grade 1 at St. Malachy's school in the west end of Ottawa. I will always remember her. She was Joan Cunningham and married during the year while teaching Grade 1. I never forgot her. She was a wonderful woman.
