Born December 14, 1924, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Mackenzie Health Hospital. Marion was born in beautiful Mattituck, Long Island, New York. Marion has lived in Richmond Hill, since 1960. Predeceased by her husband Daniel (Danny) James II, November 17, 2005. She is survived by their children Yolanda Ann and Daniel (Dan) James III, and her granddaughters Brigette Traynor Powell, and Jennifer Danielle Powell. Also survived by one sister and two brothers, residing in California, Florida and Long Island, and cousins, nieces and nephews residing in Canada and the United States.
Durind World War II, the men left to fight and the women became nurses, school teachers, farm workers and factory workers. After high school graduation, Marion worked in the Republic Aviation Company in Farmingdale, Long Island, New York, helping to make airplanes. Marion retired from eighteen years as a Certified Dental Assistant, for Dr. Filberto Montis, Richmond Hill. For more than 50 years Marion was a member of Our Lady Queen Of The World Roman Catholic Church in Richmond Hill.In lieu of flowers in Marion’s memory, the family would appreciate donations to the following charities: Covenant House, 20 Gerrard Street East, Toronto M5B 2P3 or The Mouth and Foot Painting Artists M.F.P.A.
